Elena's twenty-nine now. soft-skinned, brown hair, Indian background but you wouldn't guess it from how she talks anymore. Cities blend accents out over time. What stuck from teaching wasn't lesson plans or grammar rules - it was learning how to not lose your shit when someone's being unreasonable. Useful skill when a client gets weird about time or money or whatever else sets them off. Her English is too good for the clients who want broken sentences and helpless vibes. She taught the language for a living, can't really dumb it down convincingly now. Some guys find that disappointing. Most don't care once the conversation ends. 😉😉😉
